     In the US. there are approximately 30,000 people living with Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. 

   As some of you know our youngest Madilyn is one of those 30,000 living with CF. Madi is 8yrs old, she is kind, selfless, funny, wild, she loves math and of course youtube. She is the most laid back kid I know and always just rolls with anything. However, Madilyn depends on 9 medications, 2 vest treatments and 2 nebulizer treatments daily in order to keep her healthy. Luckily for us Madi takes it all on like the champ she is and never complains! We have worked really hard to ensure that Madi stays as healthy as possible for as long as possible!

    There is no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We've come so far, but there's still so much work to do. Every year the CF foundation and community raises millions of dollars to support the development of life saving treatments for people with CF, including the recently approved Trikafta that Madilyn started this year! My family will be participating in the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis walk on May 20th to support the amazing cause that has contributed so much to the CF community and our family especially.
