Hello friends and family!  It may be winter but our minds are on Spring and the Great Strides Walk coming up in May 2023!

Our CF Warrior is 8 years old and in Second Grade.  Still smart as a whip and continues to be caring, loving, kind and compassionate.  Although I don't get to see him as much as I used to (darn that growing up stuff!!) he continues to make my heart full and I am grateful for him every single day.  He still remains active and this summer we are looking forward to watching him play Travel Baseball!

While Chase has had many, many good days of health, there is always this feeling that something may come along to upset the balance.  We stride and strive to keep ahead of the potential problems and continue to support our local CF Chapter throughout the whole year, not just at Great Strides. 

Your donations, and donations received from so many other supporters like you, allows the CF Foundation to continue to fund breakthrough medications like Trikafta, Orkambi and Kalydeco and to provide assistance to the families of people living with CF through their COMPASS program which helps with things like health insurance issues, legal issues and finding help with payment for these medications.  In addition, the Foundation continues to fund research that creates breakthroughs for people living with CF in many ways - not just medications, but also therapies and genetics.  The Foundation cannot continue this work without the continuous support of people like us.

I remain very committed to the Foundation and its mission to help  kids like Chase and each and every person afflicted with cystic fibrosis. This year, I am the Northeastern New York Chapter's Grampion (Grandparent/Champion) Chair in addition to walking in Great Strides.

Chase is one of approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, grandchildren, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for him and others affected by CF and hope you will support me and my team, CHASE FOR A CURE, in our efforts.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, with the median life expectancy of those with CF now at 53 years of age, but the lives of many people with CF are still cut far too short. I am striding to help add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. This year, in addition to asking for monetary donations, I am also asking that you JOIN OUR TEAM and walk with Team Chase for a Cure at Great Strides on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Crossings of Colonie.
