Once again, I am raising funds to fight cystic fibrosis (CF) and I thank you for your continued support. In 1976, my sister, Carolyn, died of CF, a rare genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 in the U.S. There is NO CURE.

She was married and pregnant at the time of her death, which made it doubly difficult to accept. However, she left a legacy of strength and courage behind, which continues to inspire me daily. She lived more in her 24 years than most people live in 70 years...what an inspiration she was to all who knew her.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By participating in Great Strides, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis.
