Dear Friends:

As I'm writing this, I feel such gratitude for each of you. Our family feels your love and prayers. Our lives are filled with teenage activities for both Cal and Eva. Eva has been healthy and is taking more responsibility for her medications and physical health. Because of Susan's intention and persistence, Eva is now on growth hormone. This is so important because growth creates larger lungs and lung capacity.  It's tough because its an injection but Eva, as always, is a warrior.  She is an amazing, resilient young lady.

Eva attends a theater and communications magnet junior high school. She continues to perform in plays and musicals, both private and school-based. On the outside she is just like any 13 1/2 year old girl but on the inside she prays every night for a cure to her disease
