My name is Michelle Tyler and I have cystic fibrosis. I was diagnosed as an adult at 20 years old. Many people who have CF are diagnosed as babies or as children so it was quite an adjustment for me to begin my treatments and to change the outlook on my own life. Sixteen years later my life has brought me many changes including relocating to Las Vegas from San Diego (my hometown), my own wedding in July 2016 to Andrew, the love of my life. And making my health a priority in my daily life which wasn't always true in my early 20's. I am definitely more knowledgeable about CF and I have become much more active with my own health, treatments and cystic fibrosis awareness.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking in May I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family (and dog) friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
