As most of you know, our little Elsie is among the approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis (CF). They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. As we have dedicated our efforts to promote awareness and fund raise for everybody diagnosed with CF, we walk with and for them at our annual Great Strides event.

Currently there is no cure for this devastating disease, and the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. However, thanks to the efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in conjunction with the National Institute of Health and the Food and Drug Administration, real progress has been made to mitigate the effects of the disease, and ultimately, to cure it.

Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families. We understand if you are unable to join us, but you may also help Elsie, as well as the CF community, by walking this 1st of June at Mills Park in Carson City.
