Dear Max Power Supporters,

On Saturday, April 29, the Hambrecht family will once again join our local CF community and participate in Great Strides, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year. We walk to raise research dollars to help find a cure for this disease. We hope you will join us in the fight. Every donation gets us closer to a cure.

Medical advancements developed by the CF Foundation have made living with cystic fibrosis much easier for our boys, but many CF patients are still waiting for therapies that improve symptoms, and tragically, many lose the battle with CF on a daily basis. Historically, children with CF died as infants, and as recently as 1980 the median age of survival was below 20 years. Today over half of the CF population is over 18, and the median life expectancy is now up to 47. We’re going in the right direction, but this is not enough! We are fighting for a cure.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been in this fight for over 21 years! Although it hasn’t been easy, we have many reasons to be grateful and every reason to believe that a cure is within reach. We are excited to be a part of reaching that goal for Max and Westley, and for all those who suffer from cystic fibrosis.

We are in this fight until CF stands for “Cure Found!” Please help us reach that goal with your donation today.
