Ben Price II Great strides: we are doing this walk in remembrance and honoring Ben Price II.
My husband Ben had CF and in June of 2017 he got a double lung transplant months before we met each other. Now CF never leaves their body after a transplant, and there is always the factor that the body can reject the lungs at any point. Ben was doing amazing and could finally breathe, also even got to have a "normal" life. CF has been a big part of my life since the day we met and appecting every little part of being a spouse of a CF Worrior.
May of 2019 was the first time I did this walk, sadly Ben was not able to join us since he had been in the hospital the week before. He wanted his team to be something with deadpool, so he picked "Ben's CF Deadpool Crew!" he was all excited to do the walk for years to come. We got married in June of 2019, but sadly in August of 2019 his body started to reject his lungs and this chronic rejection was unknow of how it would be and how much time he would have to do anything. So we started looking into getting treatment and a second double lung transplant but it didnt happen, this chronic rejection was fast acting. On Nov 27th 2019 this sweet loving man took his last and final breath with me next to him and also both his father and mother there. He always had the saying "NEVER GIVE UP" and he fought till the end.
Ben loved Deadpool and I love Harley Quinn, it was our thing. He was so Proud to show off his deadpool clothes and even in the hospital he would wear his deadpool and decorate his room with the tape he took from the nurses that they had to use to tape off a box on the floor.
Ben and I talked about what he wanted after his passing and doing this walk and helping others with CF was something he liked because it was a big part of his life and mine. Please join me in this walk to support not only the remembrance of Ben but to help everyone fighting CF and someday that they can find a cure.

To reduce the risk of COVID-19 the Foundation is taking steps to host safe events for our community. Please be advised that events may be subject to change at any time based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health officials.
To help minimize the risk of COVID-19, we ask that attendees at CF Foundation events follow these steps:
Where mandated, practice physical distancing and maintain at least a safe 6-foot distance from persons outside of their household.
Face masks are encouraged and should be worn in accordance with local guidelines. (Note, children under two years of age should not wear masks due to safety concerns and therefore should only attend outdoor CF Foundation events where they are able to distance and stay within their family group.)
Follow basic infection, prevention and control practices by regularly washing hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, and by covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Persons with CF should consult their physician before participation in any in-person event as they may be at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
For indoor events, it is CFF policy to invite only one person with CF to be in-person at the event at a time. For outdoor events, people with CF should maintain a safe 6-foot distance from persons outside of their household at all times.

For the health and well-being of the CF community, we strongly encourage that participants be fully vaccinated and have received the CDC recommended booster shot when joining us in-person for the event.
Please be advised certain localities and venues may require you to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination. We will communicate these requirements in event communications.
We are counting on the fact that you appreciate the potential consequences of exposing members of the CF community to COVID-19 and will not attend an event if you are feeling ill or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.
We cannot guarantee that all people in attendance at the event, including participants, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, or others, have been fully vaccinated.
