Please join team Ray of Hope for Martha for the Great Strides Walk to Cure CF at the Lake Phalen Regional Park on May 19, 2024. The walk starts at noon.
As many of you know, Ray and Martha were born with cystic fibrosis in the late 80's/early 90's. While there is still no cure for CF, there have been many incredible medical advancements in the last 30 years in the CF community. Martha is lucky enough to benefit from a medication called Trikafta. It has changed her life completely. She is now working fulltime for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as well as running her own business, Sunny Rays, in honor of her older brother, Ray.
Trikafta has greatly impacted Martha's life but it is not a cure and not everyone in the CF community benefits from the medication due to their genetic mutation, side effects or other reasons. The CF Foundation will not stop until a cure is found for EVERYONE with cystic fibrosis.
The Garveys dream of a day when CF will stand for Cure Found. We believe that day will come and when it does we will be ready to celebrate for Ray, Martha and who have been impacted by cystic fibrosis. Please consider joining our Great Strides team and donating to team "Ray of Hope for Martha" and help us achieve our goal.
Register to walk by clicking on Join This Team. From there, you can make a donation and also start fundraising yourself by sharing the link with your friends and family. If you raise $100 or more, you will receive a "Driven By A Dream" t-shirt.
Together, let’s make CF stand for Cure Found!
