I Stride...Until It's Done!
It's 2023 and it's my 11th Great Strides season and in November I will be marking my 11th anniversary with the Foundation.
While we continue to live under the shroud of Covid-19, the need for funding and research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis has not ceased. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation continues to be one of the best stories in medicine. In 2019 Trikafta was announced, this remarkable triple-combination drug therapy will help approximately 90% of those living with CF, and over the last two years, the approval for expanded use by younger patients has been approved. But we are not done, Trikafta is a therapy, not a cure and 90% is not 'everyone'...our mission is clear and we will continue to research, advocate, support and WALK for all of those who live with CF.
