We are parents of 2 adult daughters with CF. Julie Hawkins lives a busy life, working full time, serving in various capacities within our church family and is a most valued and treasured family member and friend to many. Our daughter Jessica Johnson passed into Eternity to live with our Lord 5 years ago from complications of CF. She is sorely missed, daily. Through the efforts of the CF Fondation, and researchers so much has changed in the last 50 years. New therapies make it possible for those with CF to have hope that their lives will be longer, and with fewer complications. We are thankful to those who work so tireslessly on behalf of those who struggle with the life limiting reality of CF. We are thankful for the progress that is being made in new therapies.
For too long, cystic fibrosis, a rare, genetic disease, has robbed people of tomorrows – progressively limiting their ability to breathe and tragically shortening life. There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with CF. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers who struggle every day in the face of this devasting disease.
I walk (virtually) for them. Will you join me and support my Great Strides fundraising goal?
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short.
By walking with us in Great Strides, you can help accelerate the Foundation’s pursuit of new therapies and provide vital support to meet the needs of the CF community.
Please support us!
Your participation will help us get one step closer to ending this terrible disease. Let’s make CF stand for Cure Found.
