Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In the lungs, mucus clogs the airways and traps germs, leading to infections, inflammation and respiratory failure. When a group of parents started the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 1955, there were no treatments for cystic fibrosis. Thanks to the dedication of this foundation, people with CF are reaching milestones previously unheard of. However, there is still no cure. Therapies available today are the direct result of the Foundation's efforts. We believe there WILL be a cure for CF someday.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis, who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them. Will you join us? To become a member of our team, just click on the "Join our Team" button. From there, you can make a donation and start fundraising.
Please consider a donation in support of our team and help us add tomorrows for ALL living with cystic fibrosis!
