As most of you know, my grandchildren, Carson and Kennedy, were diagnosed with cystic fibrosis shortly after birth. They are 2 of approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. Carson is 14 and is in 8th grade and Kennedy is 12 and is in 7th grade. Right now they are very healthy and are fortunate to have great family support and excellent medical care. Another big plus is that there is a cystic fibrosis clinic at Toledo Hospital!
Carson and Kennedy's mom and dad created Carson's Crew in 2008 as an organization to help raise awareness about cystic fibrosis and money to help fund research for a cure. After Kennedy was born in 2009 the name was changed to Carson's Crew and Kennedy Too! I am very proud to share that to date CCKT has raised over$1,000,000, all of which has been donated to the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support me in any amount you can!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Please help me reach my fundraising goal!
