I walk for my grandson, Liam, who was diagnosed with CF at 3 weeks old. He is now 6 years old and a very strong willed, energetic little boy. Thanks to all of the advances in the treatment of CF he is leading a very normal life. Of course he has to do his breathing treatments twice a day every day, unless he has a cough, then it is more frequent. He also has to take multiple medications daily, including enzymes before every meal. He is usually very good at taking his medicine and doing his treatments, except of course when he chooses to display his "strong willed" side. This is reality for Liam and his parents, who all take it in stride, as this is just a normal day for them. I walk, in hopes that we can find a cure so that Liam can have a family of his own some day, without the worries of them also having to deal with this reality. Thank you to everyone who makes a donation.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
