Glass City FCU’s Crusade for a Cure
Glass City Federal Credit Union was proudly named “Volunteer of the Year” for 2021 by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) Michigan/Northwest Ohio Chapter. In addition, Glass City
has been deemed the highest fundraising team for the Toledo “Great Strides” event.

As the overall mission of credit unions is “people helping people,” Glass City FCU began partnering with CFF over thirteen years ago when two grandchildren of one of Glass City’s senior leaders’ were diagnosed with CF. From that point on, the Glass City team has been determined to join the crusade to find a cure for CF.

Glass City continues to increase its support and involvement for CFF year after year. Employees and members of the credit union have supported CFF through various fundraisers including the Toledo “Great Strides” Walk. This Spring, Glass City is hosting its third annual  65-day Employee Walk Challenge to raise donations toward the Toledo Walk.
