My Great Strides Story
Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who face the sobering prospect of a shortened lifespan. I walk for them, most importantly I walk for my daughter.
Gwen was just 3 weeks old when she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Since then, she has taught us so much about ourselves and has shown so much strength and understanding regarding the disruptions to a "normal" 6-year-old life. We are a part of a community that has showed us the power of perseverance and we strongly believe that all people with CF deserve to live a life free from the burden of this disease.
You can support me!
