Amanda just turned 20 and thanks to the continued advancements in CF medications and therapy, she had another hospital free year! When she was born, the median age for people with CF was in the early 40’s. This statistic continues to improve and according to the CF Foundation, the median age for those with CF is now in the mid 50s!!
Although there has been significant progress in treating this disease, there is still no cure and too many lives are cut far too short.
For a mom of a child with CF this is still not good enough. I want to see Amanda live a full and healthy life and not need to spend hours each day doing treatments and taking multiple medications throughout the day to fight bacteria in her lungs, help digest her food and just be able to breathe.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?
We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support me!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Please help me reach my fundraising goal!
Your support means more than we could ever find the words to express.
Thank you!
