If you're local to the Boston Area, join my team, Colleen's Crew and walk with me on May 19 at the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk in Boston. If you want to support from afar, donations are welcome!
----------
I was born with Cystic Fibrosis in the 90s, when the disease was considered terminal with a life expectancy of early teens.
Because of the CF Foundation, and donors like you, the entire landscape of Cystic Fibrosis is shifting. Many adults with CF are now living into their 50s and beyond. Babies now born with CF are expected to have a full life.
Despite the groundbreaking discoveries, our work isn't done.
A percentage of the CF population still can't take any of the CFTR Modulator drugs out there.
Those who can take the newer meds are finding the drugs lose efficacy overtime, and don't correct enough of the issues and damage CF causes.
The CF Foundation has moved mountains since I was born, and it has all been made possible by the incredible donations they've received over the years.
We are SO CLOSE to incredible new drug developments--and in the near future-A CURE for EVERYONE with CF.
That's why I walk. I walk so I, and the 70,000 people around the world with CF, can one day just breathe without having to fight for our lives every single day.
