My Great Strides Story
Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, grandkids and friends who face the sobering prospect of a shortened lifespan. I walk for them.
Our story is based on a God-fearing woman who possessed tenacity, integrity and honesty. Shirley "Goose" Knockum helped anyone that crossed her path that she saw needed help. She gave from her heart looking for nothing in return. She made an impact wherever she went. She touched so many lives during her time here on earth, but God saw fit for her to continue her journey with Him. Her memories will continue within us, doing exactly what she would be doing if she was still here with us. We love you GOOSE. Your memories will live on forever.
