Team 2 Steps for 2 Daughters was started after finding out that both of my daughters, Allyson and Jessica, were diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 2012. Our first Great Strides walk was in 2013. We had just two walkers in our team, Amy and myself. We were blown away at just how large the CF community was. We learned a lot that first year and every year since the team of walkers has grown. We have raised a little over $24,000 in the last 6 years, and have earned a fundraising medal for the past 4 years for being in the top five fundraising teams. We will not stop until Ally and Jess can say they HAD CF!!!!!! So please click Donate now and give a chance to my daughters and everyone with CF. Then come walk with us. We would love to have you.
Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening genetic disorder that makes it hard to breathe and digest food. There is currently no cure. The life expectancy for a person with CF is currently 38. The money raised from the Great Strides fundraiser goes to finding new and more effective treatments and research to find a cure. Unlike other diseases like cancer, there is no government funds. The only money that is used is what teams like ours raise during Great Strides and other fundraisers over the year.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them. Will you join us? All we need you to do to become a member of our team is click on the "Join our Team" button. From there you can make a donation and start your fundraising.
By becoming a member of our team and making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, indoor events sponsored by the CF Foundation are strictly prohibited at this time. Scheduled outdoor events must adhere to strict requirements to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection. IMPORTANT NOTE ON ATTENDANCE AT OUTDOOR FOUNDATION EVENTS:
