Join our team or donate and add many more tomorrows for many CF people and our Clay! If you can't join us for the walk a donation would be greatly appreciated and any amount is welcome. If these two things are not possible your prayers are a wonderful blessing. You all have heard me speak of the drug Orkambi which Clay was on for 2 years, in the last year he was struggling with chest tightness, he had to go off of this drug for awhile but then he told his doctor he just had to get back on it, so he went back on it the chest tightness subsided somewhat and he was able to stay on it until the new drug Symdeko was approved. Clay is currently on this med which is an improvement over Orkambi (it was designed because so many had unbearable chest tightness). At the current time he can't be on it full time because he is on a medication that it interacts with, so he is on a reduced dosage and guess what on the reduced dosage his lung functions went up. Hoping this month he will go on full dosage and I can't wait to see the results. This is still not a cure~ There are several more of these types drugs in the pipeline one is currently being tested and it is way better than the one Clay is on although we are greatful for just having something our wish is for a cure. In baseball terms, Symdeko is like getting a runner to 1st ~ 2nd base and we'd like a Grand Slam! (There is a clinical trial getting ready to start we are trying to get Clay into it and it is an extremly promising drug). Your donations are the reason all these new meds are adding many tomorrows for Clay and others. Our family is so greatful for your generousity.
