Dear Friends & Family,
On December 1, 2014, I was blessed with the birth of my grandson, Samuel John Sweeney. I was overjoyed and in seventh heaven when he was born. Shortly after his birth, Samuel was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Samuel is now 8 years old and he is a happy, funny, and loving daredevil. Cystic fibrosis is a life-shortening, genetic disease that affects every organ in the body and makes digestion & breathing difficult. While people with CF are living longer than in the past, we still lose precious young lives every day. We want Samuel to live to become a cantakerous old man.
My family is dedicated to defeating this dreadful disease. Part of that effort is to participate in the Great Strides Walk. Great Strides is a 5k walk to raise awareness & money for the search to find a cure and improve the lives of those with CF. It happens May 21, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Waterfront Park and I plan to be there.
This is where you come in. I am hoping you will show your support by joining the walk or donating money to find a cure or both. To join our team or make a donation, click the join team button or donate button on the left side of this page. Every penny helps! Every prayer helps! The name of our team is Samuel Strong. Join Our Team and help Add Tomorrows to Samuel's life and others suffering with this terrible disease!
