JenniLynn is finishing up 1st grade. She was at a new school this year because Jessamine County sends all Kindergarteners to the Jessamine Early Learning Village then they move on to elementary schools.
She is becoming more responsible for herself and remembering to take her pills before each meal. Sometimes I am the one that forgets and she reminds me she needs them. We are grateful that JenniLynn is doing so well. She was a little more sick this winter than normal but we keep her on track with her treatments and contact her CF care team when necessary. We are blessed to have such a great team of people that love and care for her.
One thing that came up a few months ago is that she doesn't want to tell her friends that she has cystic fibrosis. We talked about it and let her know it is okay that she doesn't want to tell her friends. But I worry that she feels ashamed or embarrassed that she has CF. Justin and I have always taught her that God doesn't make mistakes which means that she is perfect just the way he made her. So please put that on your prayer list. I needs words of wisdom from God to help her through the feelings she has about this disease.
If you feel led, consider donating to help find a cure. We love you and appreciate all of you!
