March 29th is coming up soon. It would have been Dana's 43rd birthday. Those of you who knew her well remember how funny she could be! We have the best memories of her doing and saying crazy things and always finding humor in almost everything. Memories are so precious. We would like to ask you to help carry on those memories.
One way we have chosen to carry on those memories has been to become volunteers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. On Saturday, May 14th we, along with family and friends, will be representing TEAM DANA at the Great Strides Walk in Altoona to raise critical funds for finding a cure for CF. This year’s walk is at the “Outlets of Des Moines”; please consider joining TEAM DANA and walking with us on the 14th.
TEAM DANA has two goals:
- To raise critically needed money for funding research to find a cure for CF.
- To honor the memory of Dana (King) Ceretti, who lost her battle with CF at the age of 30.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. We walk for them, and for Dana. Will you join us? All we need you to do to become a member of TEAM DANA is click on the "Join our Team" button. From there you can make a donation and start your fundraising.
By becoming a member of TEAM DANA and making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. When Dana was born in 1979 the average age for a person with CF was just 16. Now, many CF patients are living full and productive lives into their 40's and beyond. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families. We would love to see you there! Jeff and Jodi
