My Great Strides Story - Leapin into a Cure!

My girls and I are walking in support of my coworker April who has cystic fibrosis.  We want to help end this disease for all those impacted by it.

I didn't know much about CF until I became friends with April.  I'm learning more each day.  I do know that something most of us take for granted - breathing - is something that a CF patient has to worry about.  

Curing the disease is not something I can do but by showing up and walking I'm helping spread awareness about cystic fibrosis!  I can show my girls how to support our friends!  I can donate!  I can reach out to my family and friends for their support!

Great Strides Cystic Firbrosis Foundation

Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.  

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
