Meet my 2 grandbabies, Kylie & Grant. They both suffer with Cystic Fibrosis, which is a chronic, progressive, life threatening disease that has no cure. It is the most common inherited chronic disease that affects every organ in the body and makes breathing difficult. Some patients say it is like breathing thru a straw. The current life expectancy of a CF patient is only 37 years of age. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation provides a lifeline to potential therapies by funding promising scientific research, medical, and education programs.
My daughter & son-in-law along with a team of doctors at Vanderbilt’s CF clinic, have done an excellent job keeping my grandbabies healthy. Please go to Sarah Skinners’ Great Strides Story on this website to see what a normal “CF” day consists of.
Our team is participating in the annual Great Strides walk to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research. The foundation has made real progress for those who have CF, but there is still NO CURE for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Please consider donating to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today or joining our team. To join our team just click on the “Join my team” button.
