Our granddaughter Ava is a healthy, happy eighth grader living with cystic fibrosis. She is a cross country runner, competitive swimmer, voracious reader, and plays clarinet in her school band. Ava is about to join the Avon High School track, cross country, and swim teams. She is also part of the lucky 4% of people with CF helped by the medication, Kalydeco, which she has been taking for almost 10 years.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers, and not all are as fortunate as Ava. There are many who struggle every day just to breathe. This summer, Ava will be participating in a half-marathon. She is dedicating her run to raising funds for continued research in the search for a cure for everyone living with CF.
Please support Ava’s run. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress, and it is 100% tax deductible.
