Greetings family and friends!

The 2023 Great Strides Walk to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is Sunday, May 21, 2023, 9am (walk starts at 10a!) at the Holtsville Wildlife and Ecology Center.

This will be Team Victoria's 15th year participating in Great Strides! Victoria had a great year maintaining her health and positive attitude, enjoying time with family, friends, and in school. As you may know, in December 2019, Victoria started taking the medication Trikafta - and the results have been amazing. She gained weight, no longer coughs unless she has a cold, and feels good overall. While Victoria has been challenged with CFRD (Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes) for over two years now, she rises to meet this challenge, and works hard to maintain her blood sugars - going from a 13.9 A1c in 2019 to her current 5.9 A1c in 2023.

All of the new drug therapies, research, and treatments in development are truly awesome, and all of this progress wouldn't be happening without your generous donations and support. So thank you! But there are still members if the CF community who are not eligible to take a modulator like Trikafta - so let's not leave them behind. And let's continue to make Great Strides so we can make CF stand for "Cure Found."
