For more than 30 years, Great Strides – the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fundraising event – has helped fuel the Foundation’s mission to cure cystic fibrosis and raise awareness for this rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that makes it difficult to breathe. Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States alone.
Thanks to generous donors and volunteers, the CF Foundation has made remarkable progress over the past six decades. People with CF are living longer than in the past, yet we still lose precious young lives every day. The CF Foundation continues to lead the way by accelerating new therapies and providing support to meet the needs of those with CF.
Our team is the Walk-a-maniacs and we are involved in the planning, fundraising, registration and coordination of this Great Strides event. Thanks to our loyal supporters, at our last walk in 2022 we were able to raise over $15,000! We now welcome you and your family and friends to join us this year by walking virtually and/or donating to support our team.
We are participating in the Nassau County Great Strides walk virtually on Sunday June 4, 2023, and we need your help to meet our fundraising goal. Your generous gift will help accelerate the Foundation’s pursuit of new therapies and provide vital support to meet the needs of those with CF.
Donating is easy and secure. Use the link at the bottom of the page to visit our team page and follow the prompts to make a donation. Any amount that you can contribute is greatly appreciated. Your support matters! Thank you for supporting our fundraising efforts. Together, we will make CF stand for Cure Found.
