Our Great Strides Story
One of our beloved Dental Assistants has a young son, “Joey The Ultimate Warrior,” with cystic fibrosis. We thank her for bringing awareness to our Old Bridge Dental Team and allowing us the opportunity to join in Joey's (and thousands of others') fight for a cure and to raise awareness.
Cystic fibrosis is a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that makes it difficult to breathe and currently has no cure. In fact, cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.
To raise awareness and funds for a cure, this Saturday 5/18, members of the Old Bridge Dental Family will be walking 3 miles in the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Foundation walk located in Pt Pleasant, NJ.
We had initially set a goal to raise $500 and, as of this morning, thanks to our amazing donors we have already raised a total of $695.70!!! We are NOT stopping there! We still have time to really shatter our goal and would appreciate all the help we can get. Whether you are in a position to donate or can take a moment to share this post, we thank you!!
If you would like to kindly donate to our cause, please follow the link below and click "donate" next to a team member's name. Any amount under any team member will show directly under the Old Bridge Dental Team's funds raised.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
Your support makes a difference!
