Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a rare, genetic disease, that progressively limits patients' ability to breathe and tragically shortens life. There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with CF. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, sticky buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage, and eventually, respiratory failure. While real progress has been made for those who have CF, there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short.
I am excited to be fundraising in honor of my Godson
who struggles every day in the face of this devasting disease.
By supporting my team, you can help accelerate the Foundation’s pursuit of new therapies and provide vital support to meet the needs of the CF community. Your donation will help us get one step closer to ending this terrible disease. Let’s make CF stand for Cure Found!
