Dear Family and Friends,
This year the Peoria Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis is on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:00a.m. I support the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk in memory of my precious little niece, Kelsey Zimmerman, who had Cystic Fibrosis and lost her battle with the disease in March of 2000 at the age of 3 1/2. AND also in honor of my great nephew Theo Zimmerman who is 5 years old and was diagnosed at 3 weeks old with Cystic Fibrosis. Through the addition of enzymes, vitamins, medications and nebulizer therapy he has grown and is doing well.
Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. This disease affects approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States with about 1000 new case of CF diagnosed each year. The mission and goal of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. A major focus of CFF is to provide money for research to develop new drugs to treat the disease. There have been exciting breakthroughs in drug therapy in recent years and all of this is possible because of the generous donations from people like you.
If you would like to support the efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the Great Strides Walk, you can donate using this secure website or send me a check made payable to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and I will turn it in. I am a walker for TEAM KELSEY ZIMMERMAN. Your donation is 100% tax deductible. Thank you for considering a donation to this worthy cause.
Sincerely,
Linda Pfister
