We have been so happy since the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announced the FDA approval of the Triple combination drug, Trikafta. We knew this drug was coming up through the CFF pipeline, but the announcement a few months ago made us hopeful for a longer and healthier future. We have always felt in our hearts that Landon would live a long and healthy life, but the idea that so many people with CF would join him, made the feeling in our hearts a true reality. Landon is not yet old enough for this ground breaking drug, but it is available for so many others and for that, we are grateful.
Although the news is wonderful, we continue to raise money and awareness because there still isn’t a cure. Landon will now definitely live a longer time. We want him to be as healthy as possible as we don’t know what other medical issues might arise with living a longer life with CF. When he was diagnosed, life expectancy was early 30’s.
So, THANK YOU for supporting us through these years and your continued love and support.
By making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
