In Loving Memory of Angie Weiss
My mom, Angie, had cystic fibrosis and instilled a passion for CF advocacy in me at a young age. I did my first Great Strides walk with her over 10 years ago. This will be my second year walking in Chicago Great Strides for my mom, but the difference this year is that it is in her memory instead of in support of her journey. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's work in treatment development and patient care allowed my mom to live a full life with a family and a career until it was unfortunately cut short by breast cancer in 2023. In her last years of life, her CF was amazingly controlled and did not negatively affect her day-to-day, something that was only a dream to her as a child and young adult. I hope that by supporting the CFF, we can help make that dream a reality for more cystic fibrosis patients across the world in her honor.
I love you, Mom. Everything I do is for you.
You can support me!
Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who face the sobering prospect of a shortened lifespan. I walk for them.
By supporting my fundraising goal, you have an opportunity in your lifetime to be part of ending this disease. Please consider joining us and help make medical history.
