In December of 2016, I lost my best friend Rachel, the creator of this team.  We had known each other since 2nd grade and were best friends. Unfortunatly, CF took her too soon. Her dream was for a cure to CF; by joining or donating to our team, you will be directly helping the efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundtion to create to medications and, hopefully one day, find a cure!

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. One of them was my best friend Rachel. We had been friends since 2nd grade and loved each other very much!! Unfortunately, right before Christmas of 2016, Rachel passed away.I miss her so very much. Over the last few years, Rachel not only shared her happy and influential moments, but she also shared her struggles and worries of her every day life. Rachel was my best friend, my Sunflower, and I walk for her. Please support me in my efforts.

Even though Rachel was unable to see a cure for CF in her lifetime, I'm still hoping that we will see a cure in my life time. Great progress has been made in the search for a cure, but to this day, none has been found.  The lives of people with CF are cut far too short by this devastating disease.
