These are my grandsons, Hans and Jackson! Both of these little angels have Cystic Fibrosis. This is a life threatening disease that has NO CURE. I am participating in the CF Great Strides 5k virtually to help raise money to fund the research for the cure so these little guys, and 30,000 other Americans with CF, will be able to live a full life without needing dozens of pills each and every day, breathing treatments each and every day (twice, if not more), nebulizer treatments, the threat and fear of getting even the common cold, regular and frequent visits to a team of CF specialists (that can take several hours and many tests with each visit), and the list goes on.
The progress made in treating the symptons of CF has been enormous and we are all so grateful for the support that has been received so far. We need to continue that momentum in treating the symptons, but also to work for a CURE.
