On July 20, 2014 I lost my sister/best friend Nicole to Cystic Fibrosis. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. Anyone who knew her would tell you no different. She meant the world to me. She had such a kind heart, an amazing sense of humor, and incredible strength. I miss our talks, I miss our laughs, I miss spending time together, but most of all I just miss her.
I wasn't able to give Nicole the gift of healthy lungs or take away her pain but I am able to fufill a wish of hers to raise awareness in finding a cure for the younger generation. So many people have lost their loved ones to this disease. Lets find a way to stop it!
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
