Every year my family participates in a fundraising walk supporting Cystic Fibrosis in honor of my 10-year-old grandaughter, Julia.
Together, Julia's friends and family have raised over $150,000 since our 1st walk in 2010! Many of you have been gracious enough to help us achieve that total.
Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, we aren't able to hold the walk this year. Instead, we're raising money virtually. Obviously, times are tough and personal finances are extremely tight, so any size donation (even just $5!) is greatly appreciated. And your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
For those of you wondering... "What is Cystic Fibrosis?" ..... It's a genetic chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections and obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.
There is NO cure for CF and currently the average life expectancy is only 37 years old. There is NO government funding for CF; therefore, every CF drug available was made possible by your support. 90 cents of every dollar donated goes towards supporting vital research, care and education for CF
The fight for a cure is not over yet. Please support our team! Thank you!
