Team Alec

Hi Friends & Family,

I’m a little late kicking off my Great Strides campaign. I think you will understand when I tell you why.  Alec hit a milestone birthday in March, he turned 30!!
Can you believe it? We feel very fortunate and blessed to be able to celebrate such a BIG number. This is only part of the reason I wanted to wait. The main reason is I wanted to wait until I could announce Alec and his lovely wife welcomed their healthy happy son into the world on 04/15.  I can’t believe my baby is 30 he has a baby, and I’m a GiGi. I never thought I would get to experience this.  
It is because of all the support over the past 30 years we are able to celebrate the different seasons of life. Every person who has donated,sponsored,walked, attended various events to you I say THANK YOU. You truly have blessed our lives. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation puts your dollars to work. Alec has benefited from multiple drugs that have enhanced his life. The latest drug has had the biggest impact on his life. Alec has responded well to Trikafta but that's not the case for all those with cf. For some, it's not even an option due to their mutation. I know that's a gut punch for these families. I pledged 30 years ago I wouldn't stop until we have a cure. We are on the right path but we still lose too many to this dreadful disease.
