Just a note to thank you for your continued support for my two grandchildren, Taylor and Macey, who have cystic fibrosis. CF is a rare, life threatening disease which results in the formation of thick mucus that builds up in the lungs, digestive tract, and other parts of the body. It leads to severe respiratory and digestive problems. We recently received some wonderful news regarding CF research. On October the FDA approved Trikafta, the first triple combination therapy available to treat patients with the most common cystic fibrosis mutation. This drug will help 90% of the CF population.
Taylor and Macey were approved for this new drug and have started the medication. From early reports, it is a real game changer. Will keep you posted as to its effects on the girls. Taylor will graduate from high school in May and will attend Kent State University. Macey will be a junior in high school and enjoys playing lacrosse. Your support has helped make all of their accomplishments possible.
This year the Great Strides Walk will be held on May 17 at Eastwood Park in Dayton. We would really appreciate your help once again. CF uses all donations efficiently and effectively. After visiting three CF offices, I can attest to the fact that they truly operate on a shoestring budget--no fancy offices, no high rent areas, no mass mailings, and limited but dedicated staff.
Making a donation is easy. Just click on the "Donate To Me" button at the top of this page and follow the directions or you can mail a check (made payable to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation) to Frank and Jane Monturo, 1440 Clear Springs Court, Dayton, OH 45458 and we will forward it. Your donation is 100 per cent tax deductible.
Thank you for your support!
