Alex celebrated 13 years this year! He has grown a lot this past year as he has started creating his own video games, has taken on individual roles in 3 plays, and is now in 7th grade! And of course he is still amazing us with his incredible memory and fun facts about dinosaurs and animals.
Turning 13 also means even more medicines and treatment in the CF world. Alex has had to endure more treatments many many treatments. These treatments give him a stronger chance to live a longer, healthier life and we wouldn't have them without the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Alex currently takes about 30 pills daily, spends at least an hour a day doing chest percussions and breathing treatments, and follows a "strange" diet that replenishes his salt and vitamins that are lost due to CF.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe.
Please help us add more tomorrows!
