Because of the support generated by events like the Great Strides Walk, the progress made by the CFF in recent years is truly amazing. The work to individualize treatment to correct the specific gene defect has led to some very successful treatments for many CF patients and has also been expanded to help other genetic diseases including cancer. CFF researchers have also been working with gene editing and when perfected it will actually cure the disease. There is not yet a timeline for gene correction therapy but the CFF Is working in conjunction with many other researchers with the goal of curing many genetic diseases.
We truly appreciate all the support, prayers, and good wishes we have received from all our family and friends, and we would be honored to have you walk with us on May 21, 2022. Thanks to everyone for contributions of any kind.
Sincerely,
Annie
