Our family is proudly participating in Great Strides Atlanta again to help raise life-saving funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We have seen tremendous progress in CF care and research over Caroline’s lifetime. The new median survival age for someone with CF has risen to age 56. However, there is still not a cure and many of the treatments on the market are not available to every person with CF. The CF Foundation has an ambitious research agenda to accelerate genetic therapies that treat the underlying cause of CF and will ultimately deliver a cure.
In 2023, we are excited to see the first mRNA therapies for cystic fibrosis begin clinical trials. If approved, this type of therapy would be available for ALL people with CF, regardless of their mutation! Donations to the CF Foundation are what make science like this possible. Every single donation helps get us one step closer to better therapies and a CURE. Will you join us by donating or joining our team!
