It's that time of year again! I have been able to hit a number of milestones fundraising for this great organization over the last 8 years the last 4 years with my Berkley Team. Last year I was able to cross over the $100k donation milestone thanks to the generosity of each of you! The personal milestones don't matter but continuing the momentum towards a cure is most important. The life expectancy for someone living with CF just crossed 50 years old. When we started Insure the Cure that Media life expectancy was 30. That is an incredible accomplishment but we need to do more. There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for Emily she has graduated with a Masters Degree and started her career in accounting, I walk for Caleb who is now in Middle School, I walk for Desi who is now 6. I walk for the parents so that they don't face the prospect of outliving their children, I walk for the milestones of Graduating from High School and College, of beginning a career, of getting Married and starting a family, and hopefully someday of having Grand Kids! Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We've come so far, but there's still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support me!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Please help me reach my fundraising goal!
