Hi Everyone! It's 2023 and I am looking forward to Great Strides in May and to all the great things that we will do in 2023. Great Strides will be on the morning of May 6th at Amerson River Park in Macon, GA and I would love to have you join The Salty Anchors. I'm fundraising this year, in honor of my Aunt Chickie. She was such a big presence in my life and prayed for a cure. I know she is looking down on me and is saying "keep fighting...I'm with you in spirit."
There are so many wonderful things happening in the world of CF. Trikafta continues to add tomorrows for so many lives. Unfortunately, I am not eligible for this therapy, as I have a rare mutation. The CF community is committed to finding treatments for all people living with CF. The NACFC in Philadelphia, outlined many research initiatives on the horizon for everyone with CF; no matter the mutation. Lots of money is being distributed for research; check out cff.org to learn more.
Thanks to the generosity of our family and friends, we have come so far. I would love to have you join us on walk day, so you can see the faces of cystic fibrosis. If you can't be physically with me, please consider making a donation. Be on the look out for cake and casserole sales. If you want one, shoot me a message (Facebook or text). There was a time that I didn't think I would see a cure for CF in my lifetime. We are a community of believers and fighters and we will make CF stand for CURE FOUND because we are DRIVEN BY A DREAM. Thank you for your love and support. Sending Salty Hugs! Caroline
