Great Strides to raise funds to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis is on April 30th this year.
As a 45 year old CF survivor, this fundraiser is certainly near and dear to my heart! But, there are approximately 30,000 Americans living with Cystic Fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe.
I walk for us all and hope you will support me in my efforts. CF not only affects the lungs, but the pancreas, making it difficult to digest food and absorb nutrients and many, including myself, have diabetes as well.
Amazing progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut way too short. I started taking Trikafta, a modulator, on February 1, 2020 and I have hardly coughed since! It is life-changing!! I don't get winded going up stairs anymore! I want others in the CF community to experience this too! We need funds to get the research accomplished to get these modulators to everyone with CF. There are so many different gene mutations to reach.
Help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Great Strides campaign. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with Cystic Fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress. And actually, in the grand scheme of things, we are so close to finding a cure!
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation prides itself on applying 90 cents of every dollar raised to fund research for a cure and your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation and Great Strides!
Love,
Jess
