My Great Strides Story

I am truly blessed to have supportive family and friends by my side. Growing up with CF has challenged me to be strong, determined, and ambitious. I am grateful to my family and friends who continue to encourage me to reach for my dreams. While pursuing my life-long dream of getting my doctorate in mathematics education, I met my best friend and husband. Together, we had our daughter who makes me laugh and smile every day. Now, I am raising a family I always dreamed of while teaching future teachers at Georgia Southern University. I hope to inspire others the way others have inspired me, especially those with CF who are warriors! Let's make CF stand for Cure Found!

How You Can Be A Doer to Make CF Stand for Cure Found!

Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.  

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
