My Great Strides Story

I’m stepping out for Stephen to support my 3 year old grandson and those with CF. He is our brave little warrior and continues to fight for his life everyday. Stephen is so loved by all; family and friends, nurses, doctors and basically whoever comes into contact with him. We want to support him in every way that we can in hopes of coming together to raise awareness and fundraise to help find a cure. 

Stephen recently received a liver transplant at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for which we are eternally grateful to our donor family . It’s hard to comprehend that their loss was our precious gain . There are no words or actions that can ever repay them for this gift of life!  A special shout out to all the amazing doctors and nurses who made this happen in the PICU unit as well. It has been quite a journey. 

I walk not only for my grandson, Stephen but for all who suffer from this devastating disease. I share in the CF Foundation’s vision to help find a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis so they can live a life free from the burden of this disease.
