My students at FGCU are working hard to pull off a virtual walk for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on October 3rd. They are making and selling masks, creating social media campaigns, recruiting walkers, fundraising, and personally calling donors.
For too long, cystic fibrosis, a rare, genetic disease, has robbed people of tomorrows – progressively limiting their ability to breathe and tragically shortening life. There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with CF. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers who struggle every day in the face of this devasting disease.
We are each tasked to raise $65 in honor of the "65 Roses" Story. We will walk for those that are currently fighting and those who lost their battle too soon. I am personally walking in memory of Erin McKenna.
Please consider making a small donation of $6.50 or registering as a walker under our team and completing your virtual walk (or run!) with us on October 3rd.
Love to all!
