It's that time of year again, we are walking to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis! We will be to celebrate Harper's 12th Anniversary Walk!
Harper is fighting this disease everyday, and with this fight, comes change. We continue to monitor her glucose levels, as she has the onset of CFRD: Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes. It is not easy to get "pricked" daily, but she tolerates it, most of the time. She continues to do her breathing and chest percussion therapies twice daily, among the many other medications to keep her healthy.
She is a strong young lady who is excelling in school and sports! She is still loving Middle School as an independent, 7th grader! She is an honors student who has made an abundance of friends and plays the cello and is on the girls JV Soccer team this year!
We are over the moon with the strides the CF Foundation has made this year! Harper started the new drug, Trikafta, last month, and we are anxiously awaiting clinic in March to see how she has improved! Thankfully we haven't even noticed any side effects.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families. We hope you will join us on April 25,2020 at 8:30 a.m. at Estero Park!
We hope you will be able to join us this year to make it the largest walk!
Please support me!
